There is a minimal fee for testing. Belt rank is never a matter of attending a certain amount of classes. It is completely based on personal development and skill.
How do your Day Camps work?
When the local schools are not in session, Kung Fu 4 Kids is in full swing. With Half-Day and Full-Day Camps during spring break, summer break and even the occasional school day off, you never have to worry about keeping your children active and entertained. Our Day Camps feature up to six daily Kung Fu classes, movies, games, activities and lots of fun.

How long have you been open for business?
Founded in 1996 Kung Fu Northwest began its proud tradition of martial arts education.
How long will it take me or my child to earn a black belt?
This is a very common question. If ever a school gives you a definite answer to this question you should hang up the phone or walk out of the school! Every student is different. Some people can earn their black belt in as little as three or four year and for some it takes five or six.

How old do you start children?

I see your Kung Fu 4 Kids vans everywhere. Do you only teach children?
No. We are very proud of our Kung Fu 4 Kids program and the popularity and recognition it has received. This often leads people to believe we only teach children. In fact, we have very strong teen and adult classes. We are the area’s leader in age appropriate martial arts!

What are the different programs you offer?
We offer age appropriate classes for children, teens and adults. We also offer a unique after school program with free transportation from your child’s school. During Spring, Winter and Summer breaks we also offer full day camps.

What do I have to do to get started?
Before we enroll anyone in our program we conduct a free pre-evaluation to make sure that they are suited for group classes and that we are able to offer them what they are looking for. Next, we enroll students in a six week introductory program to ensure, over time, that the student consistently enjoys their classes and wants to continue in our program.

What exactly do you teach?
We teach a mix of Chinese (Kung Fu) and Korean (Jungyae Moosul / Taekwondo) martial arts. Our students will experience the hard and powerful as well as the soft and graceful. For teens and adults we also teach a wide range of martial arts weaponry. When it comes to children, we pride ourselves on being a ‘life skills school’, teaching our students good old fashioned values that will last them a lifetime.
What is the difference between Kung Fu, Karate and Taekwondo?
There are a great many differences.
The most obvious are their countries of origin:
Kung Fu = China
Taekwondo = Korea
Karate = Okinawa & Japan
Styles of movement:
Kung Fu = circular
Karate & Taekwondo = linear
It is widely accepted that all martial arts developed in China long before being exported to Korea and Japan.
When watching the different arts, Kung Fu is generally more graceful and fluid while Taekwondo and Karate are more stiff and choppy in their movements.
What is your after school program?
Our After ELITE School Martial Arts Program is a Fun, Exciting and Educational alternative to after-school day-care. Your child will enjoy staying in shape with Kung Fu and Taekwondo while learning the Life Skills every child needs to succeed. You will enjoy the convenience of FREE Transportation from your child’s school and pick-up times as late as 6:30. We even offer half-day and full-day programs at no additional charge, on the occasional school day off.

Will I be training with children?
No. That's one of the things that make our school different. All of our classes are age-specific results driven classes. What this means is 5 year olds are with other 5 year olds. A child cannot learn on the same level as an adult, the same way a 5 year old cannot learn the same as a 12 year old.
